<p>Hi i'm currently editing a video and in part of it there is an interview and while the audio is ok for one half of the conversation, the other is nearly unaudioable, is there anyway of spiking it for the weak half of the conversation? i know this was possible for iMovie HD but with 09 this doesn't seem to be possible?</p>

<p>My new <strong>Kodak zI8</strong> pocket video camera is wonderful in many ways. BUT the zoom stops-and-starts, and produces a squeak that is picked up on the audio track. Has anybody else had this experience? (I haven't seen it referenced in reviews.) Is it just a glitch in my camera, or a flaw with the model? <p>Hello, I have a situation where I have a concert video clip and external audio clip that runs slightly slower than the video. I want to mix the audiotrack of the video and the audiotrack of the external audio clip (like 60% volume audiotrack1 and 40% volume audiotrack2) and of course now I have a problem. After about 2 minutes, they go so much out of sync that you can't use it.</p> <p>Currently I only have iMovie 09 - any way of getting this done in iMovie? <p>When using my Rode Video Mic on my new Canon HF200, I'm getting a hissing noise in the audio tracks. I actually tried a different mic to rule out my Rode, and got the same result. Does anyone know what's causing this? The camera itself has no internal moving parts, so it's not coming from the camera. So far, the only thing I've been able to find online is it might be that the mic is mono and the camera is recording in stereo? I used Audacity to remove the noise, but this is driving me crazy. The quality of the image I'm getting from the camera is great, but I might have to return it if this is a problem inherent to the HF200. Any ideas on what's causing this and how to solve it?</p>

I hate bad audio in vidcasts.</p> <p>I want to buy condenser microphon. I think it can't be USB microphone because I have firewire camcorder and they have big latency when recording on the PC. Probably I will not do live streams, but I don't wont to fight with av syncing. <p>Thanks for the question about the pros/cons of wired/wireless mics, I remembered the problem we encountered today with a shoot. Prior to the lecture we tested the sound board and wireless handheld mics. Line into camera from the board was perfectly clear. Speaker arrived and was not comfortable with handheld mic so we switched to a wired lavalier. We had to scrap recording due to the hum in the line. I'm not a sound person but we've got to figure out how to eliminate this. Any thing I can make sure my AV guys troubleshoot? One person in attendance suggested that we may have a bad ground. Any other suggestions will be most helpful. Thanks.</p>

<p>Situation:</p> <p>I have a Zoom H2 Filed Recorder, Nikon D90 dSLR, Canon G9 point-and-shoot.</p> <p>The 2 cameras recorder video and sound, but use "internal" mics. The sound is not bad - put they pick up everything.</p> <p>The Zoom H2 records in .wav, and .mp3. The sound quality is superior. This is a directional recorder so I can eliminate much of the background sounds.</p> <p>I want to record the sound on the Zoom H2 and sync it to the video output .avi files from the cameras using iMovie 09 (may later use Final Cut Express 4 because I'll need to convert to DV, HD or ACHDV format -- another question altogether!).</p> <p>Questions:</p> <ol> <li><p>I believe it's best to record using .wav to sync, but can I use .mp3 as well?</p></li> <li><p>How do even begin to sync. external audio and video files? Can anyone point me in the right direction as far as a decent setup. I do have both video and audio editing software, so this is strictly a hardware solution. I do have two studio condenser mics, so my mic requirement is something that I can use on the go. With maybe a good portable lighting solution.</p> <p>Looking to see if it's worth waiting until my budget increases and get a better HD cam?
