Perfect timing with the email Nicholas and the miro crew, I'm having dramas getting video properly displayed on my site. This question is actually a few questions so I'll list them, and thanks in advance for any tips.

On my site, currently udergoing a live redesign, I want to display a video rss feed in the sidebar, anyone know of any plugins that can do this?

I also want a featured video window that randomly shows a video I've posted, any suggestions?

Finally it should all format properly in the site rss feed.

Whew, I know this may be more appropriate over at the wp forums but thought I'd see what you video folk could suggst.

Thanks for your time.

Well, not sure if what you're asking for exists. Wordpress doesnt do video too well. When you say VideoRSS in sidebar...will these be your videos taken from an RSS feed from another site? If its just Youtube etc, they usually have widgets that pull in streams of videos.

Have you seen what you want on someone else's site? Or are you just imagining what you want?

Check out some video plugins my friend, Eric Lorenz, recently updated: http://unholyknight.com/VideoWrangler/ They let you make a video archive, or display recent videos, or feature videos. We have these plugins installed here: http://ryanishungry.com.

The Plugins are also GPL...so they can be customized. These are ideas we've been having for them: http://showinabox.pbworks.com/Videopress-Features

VodPod does a great job of displaying collected videos in widgets. It's a little clunky to manage, but it's great at displaying videos from all over the web. I use it to automatically collect any video I post to my blog and then display them in a nifty sidebar widget.
